Could you copy and paste it do you think? Does it give much away... don't want to spoil it for myself.

Oh well - thanks for trying. I'll just buy it and stop being a scrooge. Surprised at the lack of enthusiasm for this project on here. "Nothing planned at the end of may" - I thought you'd all be chomping at the bit to see a new half Gent series. Maybe ten years on, the enthusiasm has bound to have waned! I'm as excited about it, as if it were a new League of Gentlemen project (which it hald is). Maybe I'm naive and innocent and far too excitable. :)

Well, I myself, tend to be quietly excited about stuff as the others will testify, but rest assured inside, I am dancing the fandango!

I think you've hit the nail on the head - cos I am still quite new to their world. So to have all that back catalogue and then a whole new series coming up - so soon, I guess i'm a bit spoilt for them! I can tell though, you're appreciation hasn't lessened - even if the weeing a little bit at the thought of seeing them, has!!

Did I not tell you I am bringing Mark with me to LA when I come in October?

I think when you have watched something for so long and so often as we have with the Gents, you get to know the subject matter so well you get blaise about because you know the subject so well and everything there is to know (not that you can know everything, but you get my drift).

I think with any fandom there are two distinct stages

1) When you discover something and you have to watch everything there is asap (like me now, with Battlestar Galatica) and read everything and glean every piece of information you can lay your hands on, and meet the people responsible. That is a brilliant journey and I love discovering things. But I don't think it is sustainable.

Then there is stage 2

Because after a while you know it inside out, so as to continue the fandom you have to find other oulets and it becomes more about being a social thing.

As others have said, we meet each other loads but and we do talk about League and quote it, but not that much. But it remains that the gents is the thing that bought us together and for that we will always be grateful.

The gents have had a such good effect on my life, indeed a positive one, without it I wouldn't have met VL,PNW and all the others I have met and consider to be amongst my closest friends*

I think I have said what I wanted there!

In short, we love the gents!

Yes, its interesting isn't it. I came to this community at face value, but obviously for you "old timers" it is now so much more than just a forum about the League of Gentlemen. But nevertheless - the prospect of a new show, ten years later - written by two of the League - does get me excited. And I demand that it does the same to you! Its a NEW comedy - so maybe you will become a fan all over again - about this new project. We'll see soon enough! :)

Anyway, not long to go until it's on, it seems to have in the planning forever!

They say it will be darker!! A treat indeed!

Definitely. I for one am very much looking forward to it but I need a start date to really get excited. I really hope I love it because I've missed that feeling of excitement at a new episode of something you love every week. Dexter is the nearest I've come recently. Being league-related I hope this will be excitement on a mega scale.
