I got sucked in after watching the first series on catch up on cable. I'm late to the game so wondered if anyone was already a fan.

I am totally addicted to Project Runway.
I happened upon Project Catwalk (the British version) a few years ago and loved it, then saw Project Runway and loved it even more.
Now I have watched all of series 9 and am halfway through series 7.
I WISH I could sew like them *sighs*

Me, toooooooo! I even tried to repurpose my jeans, thinking I was being all slick. I just ended up breaking the sewing maching.

They've got Project Runway: All Stars on right now. A bunch of people who came close to winning in the past have been brought back. Different judges and host (boo!), so it's really not the same, but it will do until another series of the proper show comes around. Plus it's good to see old faves again. I'll say no more until you can get caught up. :D

Interesting PR fact I only recently learned: When it gets down to the top five or so, they have *everyone* make a collection and show at Fashion Week. They all have the same budgets and they all get a visit from Tim (I believe). This is so that no one can figure out who the finalists are before the episodes can be broadcast. The audience at the runway show don't even know which ones are the actual finalists. How cool is that?

EDIT:

Oh, meant to say that I saw the first episode of Spartacus last night. It was free on Starz (might not be for international, but try it). I'm kind of meh about it, to be honest. We'll see if it gets better.

I'm really looking forward to this. I really hope it's not pants. What's the new bloke like. He's fair match physically, but I wondered in voice and acting style?

Plus is you know who there and is it plausible if they are?

I won't answer any spoilery questions, in case others want to approach untarnished. :D

New bloke: Bless him, they tried. His energy is all wrong, though. I suppose it can't be helped; it's difficult to be the new guy replacing someone who did an amazing job. He may grow on me, but for not...meh.

Maybe after a few episodes we may get used to him...

Now what does that sound like *grins*
I hate it when they replace the perfect person with some gobshite who ruins everything for you *laughs into chips with cheese*.
I must get back to Spartacus. I loved the first series - and a lot of that was Spartacus himself, boy was he beautiful. And bloody good.

Me, too. In this case, they didn't have much choice. I almost wish they hadn't tried to get someone who looked so like Andy Whitfield. Just recast with someone else who is awesome for the part, and don't worry that we'll be confused or whatever.

Yeah, he was great. :(

Have you seen Gods of the Arena mini series. I think it's even better than the first series.

Really enjoying re watching Rome at the moment.

I haven't seen it. Didn't even realize it existed until last night. Might have to look into it.

DOI: I'm in mid-show, but I just had to come here to say WTF?! Is Corey Feldman going "mid-Atlantic" already? How many weeks has he been in the UK? Is it possible it's real, or as I think is more likely, is it affected? I know, I'm one to talk, switching from an American accent to an English one and back again while visiting England, but mine is at least more or less clear cut and mostly intentional, and I cop to it (I do it to blend in; it's easier to get around if people don't think you're a foreigner). I don't pretend that "Oh, I can't help myself, I've just been around it so much" (like Madonna did). Perhaps it's unfair of me, perhaps it's genuine, and he's just unaware that he's doing it, but I find it annoying nonetheless.

Harumph. ;)

So what did you think overall? Who went and the Dual concept? I was so impressed with Georgina and Matt. They were amazing...how anyone will catch them up at this point I do not know. I was very happy with the result as he was the weakest so it was only fair however sometimes fair doesn't always happens.

I liked it! It had the potential to really muck things up, but I think it actually played out quite well. Feldman was so terrible, it was painful to watch. Jorgie and Matt were completely the other end of the spectrum. They are breathtaking.

And can I just say I think I have a little crush on Andre? He just seems like the sweetest guy. I'm glad they brought him back!
