Nice tee. I would like something very subtle. I dont tend to wear fan stuff, band tees and the like. I would like to make something for myself. That or turn a bought item into a cushion or something.
And trouble finding a lady friend. Well let's start forming the queue. X

Yeah I'm considering buying a Buffy tee from Cafepress but I know I'll feel all self-conscious if it's an obvious one. Why can't I be confident enough to just wear what I want to express my love of stuff?

I might get the Grr Argh one. All the ones that speak to me are a bit more subtle that only fans would get. :)

I know it's the Daily Fail and probably anything for a story but still. :)

Intelligent and Holmes-ish? Check.

Broody? Uuuuuuuuuncheck.

 Eeeees okay. Not like the odds were fantastic to begin with (and then me being an obsesso at the moment would probably put a kibosh on any remnant of a chance).

I have sort of an opposite problem. I LOVE sharing what I’m into via clothing, most often when it’s something not as well-known in the states. I feel like I need to advertise it somehow, to get the word out to my fellow Americans. But then I get paranoid because if I *should* happen to bump into someone whose shirt I’m wearing (don't laugh, it's happened to me), I would be mortified to have them see it. I don’t like folks knowing that I know who they are. It starts you off straight away on a “celeb vs. fan” foot instead of just being two regular people having a chat (or whatever).

Wall of boob! Hahahhaha. Gods, do I know that feeling. For me it *has* to be a babydoll cut or I have the same problem. I have a waist, dammit! I want people to see it! The boobs, well they sort of speak for themselves*. Hard to ignore, my boobs.

I do want a Sherlock shirt because I feel it’s one of those things that only certain people in the States are into. It’s like a secret Sherlock club. I would still keep it on the subtle side. I AM [SHER] LOCKED is probably the most obvious one I have in mind. Funnily, I am kind of nervous to wear even that, as it’s a massive spoiler, and Series 2 won’t air here until May. I’m *really* tempted to make one to wear in the meantime that says I AM [SPOILER]ED. What do you think? Subtle enough?

I check both. Cumberbabies would be fine by me. Mr Astrid on the other hand....don't know how I would work that one out! However I never let logic get too heavily involved with the stories in my head!

I love that you are fighting the Brit corner over there! I, on the other hand, feel that I could walk around with I AM BENEDICT CUMBERBATCH'S LOVE BITCH tattooed on my forehead and it would never matter as no one ever comes up to Scotchland. I do remember your T Shirt story VL which made me smile as considering where you were during that encounter I would say it was pretty damn cool.
Note to self - get stalking in 2012 and make those "bumping into hasssbands" happen!

I might see what I can make. I got a little sewing machine for Christmas so I will be starting to learn it soon (need to get fabric). Personally I feel I have to have that begging line on something somewhere!

I haven't made an t-shirts (or anything apart from costumes) for aaaaaaaaaages.
I received my Supernatural one today *hugs it*.
Most of my t-shirts have the Bat symbol or Catwoman or Batman related things on them so I certainly don't mind showing stuff off, I prefer stuff to be one of a kind though which is why I must get my arse in gear and start making stuff again.
Though I miss my 'Adult Carnival Accessory' t-shirt I made and that was totally obscure.

Add another one to the boob shelf club

Boob Club!!!

Quickly (as am trying to focus on work for a bit):

This on twitter.

Sherlockology Sherlockology
#Sherlock will be back for a 3rd series of 3 90-minute episodes, hopefully before the year is out - @steven_moffat (from Guardian article)

And lo, there was much rejoicing.

Oooooooooor not. Sue Vertue just tweeted that he didn't mean it would be on *tv* before the end of the year.

And lo, there was much retracting.

Yip I watched it play out too. Thought it was too good to be true what with Star Trek 2 and The Hobbit. a third is commissioned so that is all that matter.

 I thought about it, and I knew that everyone who has been part of this discussion on the forums would have probably also seen it play out on Twitter, but I confess I posted it anyhow because I just wanted an excuse to talk about Cumberbatch.

While I'm at it, adding "Cumberbatch" to the dictionary. Goodbye, foul squiggly red underline! Is spelled correctly.

Yeah I would hate that but what a good potential problem to have! I might bump into my husband! :D

Or just get the layout and left as I AM [****]LOCKED. I think I might have seen that one. Probably not noticeable enough as to be recollected when they do see the episode. Although then that might defeat the object. Tricky one.

Re the babies thing well it seems he has waited this long he can wait a bit more. So that's fine for me because I do want children eventually but I don't know about you. Just realised what I am writing. I don't even know if I actually do fancy him apart from when he is Holmes. Was talking to my friend before about our lists of men and she was remembering how most of mine in the past were always characters rather than the actors etc. I'm a sucker for an amazing character. In reality people are rarely as attractive to me. Not the actors I just mean generally.

Re series 3 I did think that was a bit soon but I clung to the thought maybe it was really really popular so they were pushing it. Oh well perhaps it will be at least filmed at the end of this year. Maybe we'll get news re that if not actual episodes. It does hurt though. So long to wait. Really am edging towards getting the dvds. D'oh!

Big, giant reply, as didn’t take the proper time last week. Brace yourselves. :D

astrid wrote:I check both. Cumberbabies would be fine by me. Mr Astrid on the other hand....don't know how I would work that one out! However I never let logic get too heavily involved with the stories in my head!

Me, I do. It’s sucky. Like if I find out someone is gay in RL, I may still fancy them, but the daydreaming stops. I have to believe, on some level, that if we met in RL, I might stand a chance. So same goes for if they get married in RL. They’re off the list! Reading that he’s eager to settle down, whether true or not, definitely tempered my lusting for a moment or three.

That being said, while I’m not at all broody myself at the mo, and I am adamant about not wanting to *bear* children, I’m open to having my mind changed about having them at all. But I’d definitely have to feel I was with the absolute right person, and I would insist on adopting. This planet has too many mouths to feed as it is (and nobody needs to be saddled with my family’s crap genes!).

astrid wrote:I, on the other hand, feel that I could walk around with I AM BENEDICT CUMBERBATCH'S LOVE BITCH tattooed on my forehead and it would never matter as no one ever comes up to Scotchland.

I don’t know, you should try it. ;)

astrid wrote:I do remember your T Shirt story VL which made me smile as considering where you were during that encounter I would say it was pretty damn cool.

It was, actually. I don’t mean to make it sound like it was some sort of weirdy burden. However, we were at Comic-Con, which is sort of the perfect environment for that kind of thing. Wouldn’t be the same if it happened randomly about town, especially if it’s clearly a lusting-centric tee. I could see husband being slightly freaked rather than flattered. ;)

Ooooooh, yes! I’d forgotten about that begging line. Must watch that bit again (screencapped avec sound, so wasn’t really like a second viewing.

That’s a good point. Will have a think.

Here’s my first t-shirt. It’s pretty simple, but it’s what I wanted. Plus it was relatively easy to knock off with their design tool. :D

Add to that the fact that none of us really knows Benedict Cumberbatch. Even if we’ve seen interviews and things apart from Sherlock, we’ve only seen a snippet of his public face, all scrubbed and pretty and on his best behavior. Who the heck knows what he’s really like? So of *course* we’re all attracted to his character(s), embellished with the nuances of our own projections, rather than the man himself. I do have to say, though, that my projections are pretty damn hot. ;)

Hey, do any of you know who the lady was who played the reporter/fake fangurl in Reichenbach? It’s been bugging me because I feel like I know her from something, but her character isn’t listed on IMDB for that episode. I tried a Google search, too, and came up with nothing. Any clues?

Unfortunately I was joking. I am the same. Man on man does nothing for me either so can't even lust from a far when someone turns out gay (waves at Zachary Quinto). I know there is never a chance that I would bump into a Hasssband but I have to pretend in any day dreaming that the "top five" list is actually allowed!

Not far off from how I picture him. ;)

Gods, THANK you! I knew I'd seen her in something else, and it was driving me batty. That would be it.

You may have seen on twitter, but someone did a cover of Sherlock's theme, which I have been looking for. All that's available on Amazon is the show's theme song, not Holmes's trippy violiny one. SO happy now. Listening to it over and over and over.
