I have never watched Horrible Histories but it seems to be held in very high regard by comedians.

I love Horrible Histories. I watch it with my nephew. I also used to read the books when i was nine/ten, loved them.

The Gents are in it for a few minutes (right towards the end) but I'd watch it all as it is actually rather good. I liked the program a lot more than I thought I would, it's clever, silly and if it teaches kids anything at all then it is more than worth having on telly.
