Hello.

I'm local, kinda. Anyway, I'm Leigh and from the North-East, somewhere south of Boldon and north of Seaham. I'm a writer of sorts - in that I have a crap agent who couldn't sell £50 notes for a pound. I'm a Medievalist for work though. I'm a Doctor Who fangirlie; old skool mostly but I do like Tennant. Series three of Who has been my favourite so far of the new series, not least because it has Unexpected Naked Mark in it, yes.

Umm, what else, I love horror/Bmovies and I also like really bizarre things like Supervixens etc. I read a lot of books as well - Angela Carter and Kate Atkinson are two of my favourite authors. To be honest, I'll read and watch anything and stick with it if it captures my imagination.

LofG stuff - I've loved them since I first saw series one way back in 99. My favourite Gent is Steve; he's gorgeous, funny and just downright adorable. I have to admit that I was taken aback slightly the first time I saw the Dentons because I'm a little obsessive about housework and everything being in it's place etc though I haven't taken it to the extreme of having cleaning utensils for cleaning utensils (they all go in the dishwasher). I often sing the household rules song when I'm house-bitching just to weird out my friends/family. Anyway, Steve's disturbing characters intrigue me the most, such as Daddy because I know men like him. I think Daddy has to be my favourite character and am disappointed that he was killed off.

Oh this is turning into a rather big post, isn't it. I'll finish with that I have two cats called Wilbur and Tiger. If you'd like to know anything else, feel free to ask me.

That sounds like interesting work. What kind of writer are you?

Hello Leigh, I'm Hazel. Judging by that post I think you are going to rather like it round here! You seem to have all of the important things - Doctor Who, horror, a favourite Gent to argue and drool over - well and truly covered. Wilkommen and I hope you have fun - see you around!

I've just put the kettle on - brew?

Welcome, Leigh! That is a fantastic introductory post. I love that you're a Medievalist. Most of our forum members have at least an anachronistic bent, if not a downright obsession. I suppose that's only natural, being Gents fans, and all.

On the business side of things, as it's mah job, please take a minute to look over our forum guidelines if you have not already done so.

Thanks! And again, welcome!

Hiya Leigh! Always room for another Steve fan here... there's not that many of us on the Forum (but we know he's the best  ). He was great as Daddy, but the Jed Hunter/Ned Huntem  wig just does something for me...

South of Boldon and North of Seaham, eh? I could probably have a guess being from the North East myself, but I'm more familiar with Peterlee/Durham/Newcastle/Sunderland/Shields... giz a clue? Seaburn? (probably hopelessly wrong).

Anyhoo... hope you enjoy it here! Nice to see a fellow Northener round these parts! :)
