Hello people! I agree this is one of the nicest, friendliest forums around :)

But it seems my attempts to join in with the forum more have been foiled by my evil laptop. It refuses to load most of the threads! Just sits there frozen with a blank page.

I can access the forum at work (like now) but thats not much good. Waa! My dad's computer lets me so I'll just have to use that when he's not on it.

Does/did anyone else have the same problem? Or know how to solve it?

*whimpers*

I have problems with a couple of threads sometimes, but I assumed that it was just my computer having an eppy. I have no idea how to sort it out, sorry.

I'm really at a loss Shaz TBH - I can't think what the problem may be. My PC freezes sometimes, but when that happens it's every site I'm looking at; not just here. My lack of technical knowledge doesn't help, either  .

Maybe someone who uses a laptop may have some idea? *shouts "Oi! Laptop users! Any ideas?"*

*hugs Shaz*

I'm having trouble with the dreams thread, I tried going to the last page and it said something like 'no posts exist for the thread' But its fine on the earlier pages, and all the other threads are fine at the mo.

Same with the dreams thread for me, too. Weird.

I'm totally stumped... :(

Yes thats exactly whats happening to me! I can only look at the last page of a thread but when I try to go back one it just comes up blank!

Sounds like it's not my computer if other people are having the same probs.

Thanks for the input and hugs guys!

I have no idea what could be causing this. I access the site from two different computers at the moment, and have no problems like what you're describing. Wish I could help! Could it have something to do with the service you use?

As for the Dreams thread, it's having the same problem that the first Annoying thread had for the longest time. From what I can tell, it happens when, in an existing thread, the first post on a new page is deleted by its author. The forum thinks that new page is still there, although it recognizes that there are no posts on said new page. Forever after, the page count is thrown off because the forum continues to count that deleted post when numbering pages. So whenever a page gets filled with posts, the forum automatically thinks the next new page has already been started, while at the same time recognizing that there are no posts on said "next new page". Follow me? Anyway, it's just a glitch in the system, so don't worry that it's your comptuer messing up.

Just sits there frozen with a blank page.

It's the same thing for me! It just loads up a blank page, lately, for various threads. Sometimes page 125 will load, and then page 126 won't- that sort of thing. And I'm not on a laptop, and have never had this problem before.

I thought it was just my computer, or something!

ETA: VL- that thing you mentioned- is that the one when it comes up "There are no topics for this thingy", or something like that? Because it's defo not the same thing. Sorry if I'm causing you trouble!
Hello my darling it's me again. Where are you?

It could get funnier if we keep doing it.

Yes, they are two separate issues, and I don't have a solution for either one. Call me Madam Useless!

Sorry if I'm causing you trouble!

Viper Trouble McGee, that's what we call you 'round these parts. You trouble-maker, you. ;)

The "no topic" thing is no problem at all, and the blank page thing is annoying, but it doesn't happen loads, so don't worry Madam Useless and PNW. You mods do a bang up job!

Love,

*bows*

Actually, it's the fact that almost everyone here is great and doesn't post crap.
There are some forums *rolls eyes* where it's impossible to find threads, where if you click on a thread called *Peanut butter* you read stuff about glass slippers.
But nope. Members here are fab.

I concur. Most forums I've joined in the past have pissed me off or made me despair for the future of the human race within a very brief period of time. It's 'cause the people are so lovely here that I've stayed for =gulp= over 2 years!
