Post by mama lazarou » Wed Dec 08, 2004 12:09 pm

I know many of you arent keen on fashion but I absolutely love it, not the ponsy side of it of course, but more costumes and outrageous stuff.

I found this site http://www.yosa.com/catalog.html aren't some of these absolutely beautiful????

any of you got any faves or sites to share? or talk about fashion in general.

hello honey-bunny Baby Moss

anyhoo - i love costumes and design ...

here is a good one i found:

My fav movie outfit is the red dress Winona Ryder wore in Bram Stokers Dracula

In fact i love all the costumes and designs from this film. It links very well with the LoG Xmas Chinnery ep. cos its set in the same period!

In fact i can see myself skipping around a walled garden in the white frock worn by Sadie Frost very happily.

Oh yes - i can see that tooo!!!!!!!!! Dancing around the garden in silky frocks

I also love historical movies cos of the costumes ... i love 1890s style gothic ones and 18th century ones (Dangerous Liaisons, Last of the Mohicans, The Duellists) ... so i cannot wait for this film ...

I also love Baron Munchausen for the fantasy costumes ... have you seen this film?? Vulcan reminds me of Geoff.

Sleepy Hollow is another one i love esp. Katrina's black and white dress at the end.

This is a cool film for costumes - Brotherhood of the Wolf - a french drama. French historical costumes ROCK!!!!!

YEs - i think they are married now ...

Here are some pictures from Baron Munchausen ... there is this brilliant scene when Uma Thurman rises out of a shell like Botticelli's Venus ... i couldn't find a screen shot other than this ... her dress is lovely.

Basically, an old man claiming to be a famous storyteller Baron Munchausen meets with all these actors in a war in Vienna around 1810 and they try & save the world. Its directed by terry gilliam of Monty Python & Twelve Monkeys ... i love it! It did very badly on release cos it cos so much.

Oooh, I LOVE this topic!

After I've finished my A-Levels, I am hoping to do a degree in Costume and Make-Up Design for Theatre and Film, because it's something that has always fascinated me. :D

I love fashion! Well not fashion, i dont follow fashion but clothes, i love being different and i wear some weird stuff. If i see someone witht the same thing as me i'll never wear it again (except my green jacket cos i love it) I normally wear, my green velvet jacket, my Jesus (Jeebus) tee, my three quarter length pants, knee high stripy socks, Converse and my trusty green hat.
Come to think of it, thats all i ever wear.

Anyways, iminto fashion design majorly, i used to have a portfoliol when i was about 12, lol. I dont have any designs left out of it i dont think, I'll see if i can dig anything out. I love designing stuff and customising my clothes. I cut holes in my school jumper to put my thumbs through (my mum wasnt amused).
Is that why i have to wash my face with a potato?

Kind of like a .. David .. Brown.
