My lovely work mates bought me some DVDs today for my birthday! Sin City 2 disk extended version, Clerks 2 (2-disk version) and Total Recall Special Edition. FAB! All three are great fillums. Genius.

Am I the only female in the world who just isn't bothered by Sex & the City?

Nope Gillie, I'm just the same. I don't even know what manolo blonko shoes (or whatever) ARE! All I know is they are something to do with Sex and the City. I'm so uninterested in designer clothing. They never do it in my size anyway! Their size 12 is more like a size 8! A size 14 women just doesn't have the luxury of being into that sort of stuff.

I'm just so ungirly. I'd much rather talk about Doctor Who than handbags.

See I'm half & half. I am quite girly but not in a Sex & the city way. I'd have a Doctor Who handbag!

I'd have a Doctor Who handbag!

Tardis shaped! And you can fit endless amounts of stuff into it. Mind you, it'd be a nightmare trying to find your keys...

I very much enjoyed the new Indiana Jones film. How about a Crystal Skull handbag? Hmm, I see a theme starting here.

Love Sex and the City. Went to see it yesterday- loved the film, too. But then I think I love it because I'm not "girly", in a weird way. I love it for being about sex and relationships and women, but not being about gooey unrealistic romances and looking pretty all the time and always being cute and girly and giving up your career to live back in the deep south with your old hick boyfriend.

I love it for stuff like when Charlotte says to the other girls- maybe we can be each other's soulmates. And when Samantha ends it with a philandering lover because she "loves me more". And when Carrie marries herself and gets her friend with kids and a husband to send her a wedding gift, because if you're single, there are no celebrations outside the ones everyone gets just to celebrate your choices.

Love SATC.
Hello my darling it's me again. Where are you?

It could get funnier if we keep doing it.

*waves* I remain in the distinctly 'unbothered' category too. And SJP is like a stick of old celery dressed up in a doilies and ribbons.

I saw the film 30 Days of Night ...

Good things include:
- vampires who look like Nick Cave and Gomer Pyle from Full Metal Jacket.
- vampires who are actually scary - like sentient zombies.
- the film looks brilliant and has a great premise along with atmospheric music.
- Danny Huston is fast becoming one of my favourite actors since Geoffrey Rush appears to run aground in the Caymans or summinck.
- Melissa George wears a very nice coat.

Bad things:
- sometimes the plot is silly and we can guess who (in the stock minor characters) is gonna get eaten up like a yummy cake. Mmmm - icing.
- Josh Harnett's 'ackting' is sometimes rubbish.

I will look forward to more movies from the director cos he shows promise.

Sex in the City does my head in.

Rre: 30 Days of Night - Thought it was okay, the lead vampire guy is freakin' awshum! Perfect casting, he's dead scary & weird.

The ending RUINS the film though. It's god-awful.

Never liked Sex in the city, but assumed that was because I was a bloke.
