Juno is about a 16 year old girl called Juno, who accidently gets pregnant. She decides to give the baby away to a couple who are unable to have children. Juno is quite smart mouthed though and is pretty ace, Ellen Page who plays her is so ace. It follows her pregnancy and what happens to her, its just a lovely story and very bittersweet. Very cool soundtrack too.

Here's the official website if you fancy having a look. http://www.foxsearchlight.com/juno/

I'll second that DWITS, just saw it today. Brilliant performances from all the cast, especially Ellen Page and Michael Cera. Jason Bateman is lovely, aaah. Great soundtrack too. :)

I went and saw 'No Country for Old Men' the other night.
It's bloody BRILLIANT!
Everyone is FANTASTIC apart from Kelly MacDonald - who ... well knowing she's very Scottish you could tell her accent was horribly fake, but really, everyone else was just WOW.
Very typically Coen Brothers, fab acting, wonderful script, beautifully shot. So engaging and just really bloody brilliant.
Anyone who's a fan of the Coen Brothers or just wonderfully engaging and really tense films should see this.

Rewatched Stardust the other night and remembered how much I loved it. Also watched (in my being ill status) The Invasion with Nicole Kidman and Daniel Craig - body snatching thing which was only OK, The Brave One with Jodie Foster getting revengey with a gun, Atonement which was good although so hyped for me that I was expecting the best thing since sliced Shawshank Redemption. Also majorly dispointed in Rambo (if I ever see Julie Benz crying again I may have to hunt her down and beat her to death with her own limbs) and Jumper - although Jumper did look good is was lacking and very obviously the set up for a future franchise.

Well he can do skinny! Just had to post this after reading about his beefyness. As I still can not believe this man went from one to the other. And I still haven't brought myself to watching The Machinist as he just looks so...I can't even find the word..painful somehow.

Any way my 2p on the Bale thingy. Well I too had heard that he wasn't actually playing Connor so I hadn't really pictured him in the role until now. I had more thought he was brought in the put some weight in the casting. After T3 not being loved as much as the first two I'm thinking they wanted to add a 'name' appeal.

As for T3, for some reason I constantly thought bot lady looked like Tamzin Outhwaite! So couldn't quite believe the old Eastender could beat up Arnie. And the fact that she was a little too sexed up for my liking. That's why I'm loving Summer in the TV show. She's attractive without having skin tight leather on. Plus she has the whole, I'm a wee lassie that could nae hurt a fly look and then WHOOP she kicks someones ass.

Eddie I have to admit got on my nerves - too emo for me - he started to jar. I know he's supposed to be 'annoying teenagers' but he was perhaps too good at it for me

My hope is, like Vipey said, is that we get to see some God damn war. We all love the chase but still.

Oh and as I said about Norton and 'The Hulk' - I still find that all so bizarre. Hopefully he'll do wonders with it. As, as much as I love Eric Bana, Eric just wasn't the hulk.

I sat through the whole film somehow convinced he was going to drop dead for really realz even though I knew rationally that he was still alive, being all Christian Bale. It was like watching an E! True Hollywood story about Christian Bale's battle with anorexia.

Yeah, I think so too. I also think they're going to go the sort of famous near-cameo route, with him not being in it much but you know he's there, cos he's John Connor being played by Christian Bale. Kind of like Jesus, lurking in the background.

And he did actually playing Jesus, so that all ties in nicely.

And the fact that she was a little too sexed up for my liking.

The whole boobs getting bigger and her looking in the mirror thing tasted like ashes in my Terminator and movie loving mouth. Somehow I doubt that they would have had a male Terminator checking out his pigeon chest before sprouting manboobs.

That's why I'm loving Summer in the TV show. She's attractive without having skin tight leather on. Plus she has the whole, I'm a wee lassie that could nae hurt a fly look and then WHOOP she kicks someones ass.

Absolutely. If it's a fembot, it's got to play by the same rules as the manbots. I mean, Robert Patrick is just a slip of a thing, but you believed him cos he was cool and singleminded and didn't grow bigger boobs. And it makes more sense for the bots to be little or female, cos otherwise you get some big manhunk who looks like he's just eaten seventeen cows wandering into your future war hellhole, and everyone knows he's a terminator.

Mission not accomplished.

Eddie I have to admit got on my nerves - too emo for me - he started to jar. I know he's supposed to be 'annoying teenagers' but he was perhaps too good at it for me

Whine whine whine mope mope mope oh I'm the saviour of mankind boo hoo- slap him, Linda!

Bring it!

He was okay, I thought. Pretty good. Shame about the rest of the movie. But I'm excited about Norton just cos the whole thing is so weird! He's such a weirdie! It's like Ralph Fiennes suddenly declaring that he's written a new Flash Gordon movie and could he please play Flash? Kthnxby.
Hello my darling it's me again. Where are you?

It could get funnier if we keep doing it.

She did! I thought so too. :)

I am more worried about the presence of McG on the Terminator project. Lots of slow mo walking away from explosions then. Massive Attack on the soundtrack.

In retrospect, although I find him similar of late (we won't go there again :) ), Bale does give his all to roles. Maybe I would just like to see him in a different kind of movie and goof around a bit - it won't harm his cred and give a non-shadowy change of pace. Patrick Bateman in the "hip to be square" scene for example was utterly highlarious.

But perhaps he chooses not too. He seems an intense kinda bloke who liked Watership Down and Clash of the Titans as a kid. He maybe doesn't see more light hearted fare as 'his bag' and likes being tortured - like teh Lord Jebus (Easter satire, folks). Fair enough but a shame too. Look at Rickman and Rush and Depp. Hasn't harmed them one bit. Bale Lite may be the most rare and refreshing of all beveridges.

It's like Ralph Fiennes suddenly declaring that he's written a new Flash Gordon movie and could he please play Flash? Kthnxby.

Now that would be interesting. :) I will watch the Hulk for curiosity alone. What does Norton plan to do? Mind boggles.

Just have to say I adore Frida! I know it's been out since 2002 but I just thought I would mention it as I got it as a birthday present from the lovely Sefi of nine. It's one of those movies that I never got round to seeing in the cinema but absolutely adored it when I did. Really wished I had a copy and now I do. Not only does it show the amazing and brave life of Frida but it's completely inspiring as well. Love it.
