I've never worked because I was always at school or college but now I really need a job because there is a huge list of things I want to buy or do. Plus with uni I'll be able to afford a place to live but won't necessarily be able to afford food

The only work I've done was work experience when I was in year 10 of school. I requested to go to a lab but instead I got stuck at a Travel Lodge dragging a hoover aruond with me for a fortnight with a woman who was scarily very similar to Iris!

YES! What is that all about? Then again, I get the feeling that people who do that probably treat everyone like shit, not just those who work in community services. What I really hate is people who patronise me because I sit at the front desk and answer the phone...:x

Well, that's not very nice (that you didn't get to go where you wanted)...but must have been funny! Actually, I have worked as a housemaid in a hotel...there's a year of my life I'll never get back!

And on the subject of work experience, I actually got to do it twice in highschool, and both times I went to a vet! No lovely Mr Chinnery though :(

Oh it was awful working at that hotel. I had to eat food from Burger King for a fortnight!

Quite a few people got stuck in hotels for work experience but they all got shoved in The Thistle were they got access to the gym etc as a thank you and I had to go to Travel Lodge with Iris!

its horrible when people are like that. had a really nasty woman on the phone a while back that i thought she was going to come to my work and stab me or something as she was that angry... all because i couldn't get some bloody grocery shopping out to her. its like its the end of the world sometimes. But the woman who threw the receipt in my face was a *beep* bitch as well. grrrr have your 5 back love lol!

What is wrong with people?!

I just have to imagine what I'd like to do, such as stapling things to the persons head, or twisting their arm behind their back until they say sorry and then breaking it.

Blergh. I've got a 3pm to 11 pm shift today, which means I'll get home at about 11:45. Then I've got to get up at 5:45 to go back in again tomorrow.

You may. As it will almost definitely happen. When I stayed up texting PBoW, I had a disgusting amount of sleep & probably drank about a BILLION large lattes. By the end of the shift, I was visibly shaking.

Nawh cheers.

The only reason I'm having to do it, aswell as working an extra shift in the week [groans], is because I want next Saturday off. Me & the rest of the Perverted Girlies are having a massive sleepover. So it'll be worth it. :D

That's underage [seventeen & under] workers. I'm nineteen this month so it only has to be eight hours. Since the shift technically finishes at eleven & I technically don't start work until seven in the morning, it's legal.

F*ckers.

But I appreciate your concern, heh. :D
