Dr Who: Regeneration - Mark Gatiss.

Post by Bex » Sun Dec 18, 2005 7:24 pm

According to "TV Guide" for the Christmas Holidays, everyone's hero Mr. Gatiss will be presenting a documentary on why Doctor Who became "this year's most talked about TV".

It's this Tuesday [20th December], on BBC Radio 2 at 8:30pm.

Hope this is the right place to post stuff like this. I never usually find things out quickly enough to be the one to do it. Heh.

Enjoy, Gatissites!

Same here! What better way to spend a cold Tuesday evening than curled up by the fire, listening to Mr. Gatiss' velvet voice?

The always inebriated part of my mind thought that this thread would announce Mark as the new doctor. Silly me...

God, if only.
They should at least let him do a special when Tennant retires. Mark was born to play the role.

[breifly thinks of him in his Time Lord Gatiss garb]

Mmmm...

Still, I'm looking forward to hearing this aswell. I know we can get radio through our TV, so I'm hoping that I can tape it onto VCR. I don't have any actual tape casettes anymore.

I have done that before, Bex. It does work and is great because you can rewind and listen to the best bits over and over and over.... *ahem*

And if this was a thread about Mark playing the Doctor, the thread title would be more likely to be something like OMFGTEHGATISS!!111twelfty! ;)

Extended version of this to be released in New Year on CD, Mark can also be heard on the Project Who CD, which again is an extended version of a Radio 2 Documentry from last year and also, though i think it was last night ,BBC 7 broadcast Mark narrating 'My Life as a Dalek', This is again avaliable on CD but only in a CD tin set, which was limited edition and long sold out. You may be able to hear it on Listen again on BBC7 website.

Also, I have again been invited to a first night of Broadcast party in London of the new series, all the movers and shakers in fandom went to the last one, so am hoping Mr Gatiss will be there!

Am definatly going to tape this. I actually thought today was Tuesday for a moment. I ran upstairs in a panic to look for a tape, thinking I had already missed the first 15 minutes, and then remembered it was Monday.

Meh, I was hoping the main topic of this thread would be VIDEO FOOTAGE of Mark, er, prodding people with his plunger... ;)

Did you go to the last one then, SOTR, or were you not able to make it? Report back, please! :P

Yay, lucky old SoTr!
Have fun! And don't forget to make notes on The Mark Outfit, as that's the main thing we'll all ask, let's face it.

Never fear! Just go to the Radio 2 website and click "Listen Again". It's what I'm doing now as my tape screwed up. :)
