I was kind of assuming it would be out on DVD. BBC Four seem to put a lot of stuff out on DVD. I'll be very sad if it isn't. It really was excellent and creepy. :)
And I'll stay here till the trail's cold and return again with my meaty gold
You want it! You can't get enough of Hilary Briss and his special stuff...

Did I see the same programme as you lot? I found it meagre, and utterly derivitive. The door knocker story was the last story from "From beyond the Grave", replacing a knocker for the door to the blue room. Disappointed. Much has been made of it being filmed in a short space of time. I thought it showed. Mark is usually a little more furtive with his "steals" - this was right between the eyes rip off. Sorry to not be as awe struck. Didn't do it for me I'm afraid.

Yes the whole point was that it was three linked tales and supposed to be viewed that way. I wonder who thought it would be good feature length? I can't believe it was Mark.

I've just listened to the commentary, and practically the first thing Mark says is that the 90 minute version was their preferred way of viewing it. It was shown in both versions when it was first broadcast, wasn't it? It's not as if it's been done specially for the DVD, I think?

Yes it was shown as a one piece too. Boxing day that year if I remember rightly.

I have the DVD but not seen it yet. Looking forward too it. My poor ole mum happened across the last story over Christmas and gave herself a fright. She was telling me about a horrible story involving 'this door knocker that kept knocking' and I was just aghast. I can't believe she saw it. It wasn't the best thing for a poorly lady to watch. :)

I still can't believe how much he nicked from the 'Blue Room' story from "From Beyond the Grave" but he gave it his own twist so I cannae complain.

I think I saw them all in one go originally, so can't really imagine how it was split up anyway. Must get this at some point. What is Mark wearing in the documentary? :P
