There's a few Hammer soundtrack available. Have a look at your local record shop. I got The Vampire Lovers for a fiver. Blood on Satan's Claw mustn't be available as its one of the things discussed in the commentary. It is top horror soundtrack music though. And you've got the Wicker Man soundtrack already if I remember rightly.

I shall also have a ganders in record shops. Funny they haven't done a classic horror compilation cos i think it would sell.

I found these that look quite good :

The commentary is BRILLLIANT!!! Topics of dicussion include:

- Mr Kipling.
- The Devil as a voice-over artist.
- crucified crows
- Frank Spencer as a "predigious lover"
- titties or as JEremy Dyson(the star of the show) says "teeeteees"
- Anthony Hopkins
- "3 clicks"
- Pipistrelle Bats
- Dr Who as always ...
- "Would you kill a child?", frozen nazi s and other films

So funny - and the film is cool too. Well recommended to any horror and League fans - a must for fans of both.

I also had the Usborne Book of Ghosts and hauntings as mentioned by Reece so i know exactly what it means about the devil's footprints in Devon:
http://www.mysteriousbritain.co.uk/fort ... _foot.html

"PUT SOME OINTMENT ON IT!!" (see Astrid, i knew it was a Mongoose and not a stoat)
http://www.resologist.net/ryook005.htm

The vampire at the window mentioned by Mark is maybe this:
http://www.mysteriousbritain.co.uk/legends/croglin.html

There is also a wee documentary with Mark (in full 17th cent character garb) and JEz talking about Tigon films ... excellent.

I watched the film sans commentary with two friends first, before we heard what the Gents had to say. We did the Mr Kipling thing too. My friend disagrees about the Pipastrelle Bats - she says it's another Bat Mark is thinking of! loved all the stuff about David Tattsyrup and the three clicks. All three of them were *so* on form. I totally agree with you that this is an essential DVD for any League fan!

I've only listened to about 10 mins of the commentary. I'd watched the film first, and then the little 'In a League of their own', and then decided to put the commentary on. The I looked at the clock and realised I had to get up in 4 hours, so I went to bed
I will be trying my best to listen this week.

Hey thank you for your rather over whelming feedback for horror movies.

I haven't much of an oppurtunity to go to the big shops of late, but when i was last their i did manage to get hold of The Wicker Man. And i watched it and i thought it was fantastic. It was quite different to what i expected, but it was so unique, eerie and charming, which of course is what its famous for. I got the double dvd with the directors cut and original edition. I watched the directors cut first. "Did i do right?" "You did it beautifully!" I found it incredibly inspiring and quenched my thirst for other english horror movies. Next day at work i drew wicker men in flames all over my papers. I now must go back and look over my next purchase.

I will be eternally grateful to the lovely Sefi for letting me stay up to the wee small hurs to watch this film and see the above mentioned contents. I enjoyed this so much I may actually mug an old lady mid week so i can buy it at the weekend. Really funny and interesting. The 'eyebrows' alone are worth the price.....'what does the devil want with eyebrows?' and the constant jokes about legs got me giggling.

Knew you would be right. It's quite late so I'm off to watch Film 2005...aso in a leaguey mood. But will be back some night soon to read the ghostly goings on!!! ( in the dark) wwoooooooo hhhooooo

I BLOODY MISSED IT AND CAN'T SEE THE REPEAT!!!!!!!!! This is not fair ... but perhaps means i can be spoiler free for the film ... so all is not lost.

And the devils eyebrows  And the legs bits - so many gems.

The story that stuck with me was Jeremy saying how his girlf saw a business woman doing what a bear does in the woods. So bizarre!!!!

If you can't see the download thing, I've recorded Film 2005, so I could do you a copy......... not a huge amount of League stuff, but a bit from the film and quicky interviews.

Help! Has anyone else got the Tigon box set? Can you tell me if the quality of your Witchfinder General DVD is completely rubbish? It lurches from quite good to bad quality then back to good again in various places on the DVD. I'm worried it's just a fault on mine.
