Re: True Blood

I might try and borrow it off someone at some point. When I've run out of everything else! :P

Because it was the Welcome to Night Vale live show the other day... My Night Vale husband: Hiram McDaniels http://img1.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20140602233605/nightvale/images/b/b1/Hiramformayor.jpeg Tara's Night Vale husband: Carlos the Scientist (with his perfect hair) Tara also asked me to claim he...

What was Thom's stand-up like? Any good? I saw him at Storytellers Club one time, but that was ages ago.

Re: Television: Good, Bad, whatever, discuss II:

I really tried to get into Supernatural. Managed about five episodes and just got frustrated by the stupid plots and, worse, the current of misogyny that seems to run through the entire thing. And I thought Moffat hated women!! Kate said I shouldn't have bothered with the first few seasons. Maybe I'...

Re: Dr Who

Yeah, I know what you mean about Capaldi. Stewart really loves him, but I think that's just because he loves him as an actor. It always takes a while for a new Doctor to settle in, though, so I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt at the moment. It even took me a few episodes to like Matt Smith! (s...

Re: Who died and made you King of the F**king Zombies?

They said it doesn't hurt. You have to be quite careful, though - they had a few problems with tourists trying to come along and pull on the ropes, which was potentially very dangerous. I told Gail I'd refuse to watch it after season 2 unless she'd tell me if any of the characters I really hate die!...

Re: This is Mah Husband/Waaaaaafv

Tragically, I still think 'husband' every time I see Jeremy Kyle on telly. No matter how much I want to punch him! But maybe that's all part of the fun.. Even more tragically I am somewhat gleeful about claiming Fassbender. I expect there's also a ton of dead Victorian husbands I need to claim, but ...

Re: The Tennant Thread

Haha, and here is the Power of the Forum! It's good to know I'm not alone. :D Actually, I have been quite remiss on Tennant things in past years. I haven't actually even watched Broadchurch! This is probably because I've been spending most of my time in the nineteenth century. But I must add it to t...

Re: The Penny Dreadfuls - Also known as Aeneas Faversham

They did a final gig a good few years back now, and then all went off on separate things, I think. I hope there's a reunion sometime. Preferably with the original four so they can do 'The Invisible Man' because that makes me cry laughing!

Re: An Adventure in Space and Time

I got very drunk and angry in the pub afterwards. No surprises there then... ;) I was quite surprised too that quite a few people claimed to like it. I put that down to really trying to like it. I have a friend who did the same with Phantom Menace. "If you watch it ten times, Sarah, it really isn't ...

Re: Right on the Mark

Oh, I feel exactly the same! Oddly proud of someone I've met only in 2 minute intervals many years ago. Weirdest moment was when Stewart and I went to see his MR James thing at the BFI, and it was nearly sold out... and yet we really easily got tickets for a Dario Argento thing. I had a moment of sh...

Re: The Tennant Thread

I am ill and watching some TV buying houses show. Every time they use the word 'tenant', I hear 'Tennnant'.

'I think you'll find it easy to find a Tennant. I think a Tennant will snap this up!'

Being back on the Forum is already doing things to my brain...
