I agree with the others, I imagine Lucifer as Mark. I never imagined Charlie Jackpot as Reece, but now you've said it.... ;)

I finally managed to listen to The Loved Ones - the play Mark did. It's bloody genius. Really enjoyed it. I totally loved the cast - although Julian Rhind Tutt did make me think that he should be in a radio play of Devil in Amber. He's got the voice!

Loved Mark as Joy-boy. Very very creepy.

I haven't managed to get mah little hands on the audio version yet - work in progress...

I don't know why I imagine Mark as Lucifer. Originally it had to do with knowing he loved that era and seeing numerous pictures of him in period gear/hats etc. And the naughtiness of Mark somehow (in mah strange and warped mind) transplanted itself onto Lucifer and combined with his...and now the image will not go. Even the graphic novel didn't persuade me otherwise.

And I too imagined Reece as Charlie. That was the fault of the description of Charlie at the beginning of one of the chapters, which actually DOES sound like him, whether Mark intended it or not!

Just to say, the great Doctor Graeme "Goodies" Garden said on Radio Two the other day, that in a film of his life, the person he'd most like to play him is....

Mark Gatiss.

As part of BBC Four's Edwardian season Mark is starring in a drama that was also written by him (if Wikipedia is correct) - 'The Worst Journey in the World'

THE WORST JOURNEY IN THE WORLD
Mark Gatiss stars as Apsley Cherry-Garrard in a drama based on the explorer's near fatal polar expedition by Captain Scott's side.

Here's some Wikipedia information on that 'worst journey'...

I'm trying to find out exactly when this is due to be broadcast but it will be some time in April on BBC4.

For now here's Mark with the 'Antarctica look' from 'The Worst Journey in the World'...
