Pity :(

Due to guests invading my house this weekend, I haven't even listened to this yet! But I refuse to accept that anything Mark could do could be bad. His voice has the same effect on me as Reece's .. "package".. has on you lot. ;) Will let you know my opinion soon!

'm sure it was great, just ignore the crap acting fromt he woamn, and you'll be fine. Though I know you'll be floating off to Mark's voice.
I guess it's like me and TLC. I can only put up with that BITCH Judy cos Reece is there.

Oooh, cool! I love that book just a little too much. :?

I listened to 'The Loved Ones' and thought it was pretty good actually. Mark and the other bloke (was it Julian Rhind-Tutt...?) were brilliiant, very sinister and creepy. And OMG that accent! :P

Ooo, really? what does that mean though? And how do you know? Is it likely to actually happen?

It was in the 'New Statesman' arts diary section...there's a very good chance that it gets to the stage where it will go into production...
Suppose it depends on all sorts of factors - script, director, actors - all the elements falling into place & Mark would surely be fairly heavily involved along the line & have a say in how its developed.

The problem is, I can only imagine Mark playing Lucifer. I know the physucal description is nothing like him, but I've got it stuck in mah head now and no-one else will do!

Still, very excited at the possibility of it being put into production! YAYYYY for Marky Mark!

:P

Do you think of Mark as Lucifer because you hear his voice in your head when you read the book? Of even worse, you've heard the audio version?

To be honest, I don't think of Mark when I read the book. Certainly for Devil more than Vesuvius. I think of him looking quite like Rufus Wainwright!

Aah I'm with TLT on this one, through both books Lucifer looked like Mark for me. Probably just my brain being lazy and nothing bothering to come up with a more original depiction!

And, erm, Charlie Jackpot looked like Reece...

Yup, Lucifer looks like Mark for me, too, and I've only read the first book. I tried SO hard to shake the association and picture him as described, but I was ultimately unsucessful. :P

Help!!!! Mark was on Down The Line on Radio 4 last night. I tried listen again but it plays the wrong show! It SAYS Down the Line but it's actually the Josie Lawrence and Jim Sweeny improv show.

Did anyone tape it?

I really want to hear it.

Even if you point out mistakes to the Beeb, they very rarely rectifiy them. There's just too much listen again stuff to go through it checking for problems.
